Android---"Green Musketeer"

Yeah I heard a lot about Android..it's a green color puppet that do some amazing stuff on my smartphone, and i often describe android as a GREEN MUSKETEER. But why is it so???
The answer is simple; because it hides all
the complexity within, and provide you the best environment to run your applications with so much ease. And my technical peers grasp my attention that it is a very powerful opertaing system based on linux kernel.
And if i am not wrong then it is developed by a man named ANDY RUBIN(co-founder of Danger) along with his team. Andy started working on android in 2002 at Android Inc., Soon after he began his work on android he ran out of money. Then in 2005 Google acquired the Android Inc., and made him the director of the mobile platform for the Google.
Android has the power of full blown computer operating system, it is based on the open source linux platform and oracle's java, one the most used programming language. It seems everything work in the favor of android powerful operating system and powerful programming language, so the result has to be something which extends the legacy of these powerful medium. And this is how my GREEN MUSKETEER comes into the existence.
The first Android powered phone was sold in October 2008 and by the end of 2010 android had become the world's leading smartphone platform, overtaking the legacy of symbian (operating system of nokia).
It is PUPPET which never compromise the security and privacy of your data as it runs in an isolated environment SANDBOX.
The source code for Android is available under free and open source software licenses.Google  publish most of the code under Apache Licence version 2.0.
